With 20 years’ experience in the AV industry and a proven track record of happy, returning customers, NuVideo are leading the charge of audio-visual solutions in Scotland. From airport display screens to council chambers, they’re known for their precision, performance and personality.
However, in the high speed, competitive marketplace of today’s AV industry, their branding was stalling. They needed a new, shiny rebrand that promoted their values of innovation, creativity and quality, and their user-first approach.
After an immersive brand workshop with the NuVideo team, one huge difference between them and their competitors stood out to us – their friendliness. Other AV companies lack this personality and personal approach, especially the larger ones, so we made this the forefront of their branding – AV solutions with a smile.
In order to relaunch NuVideo into a world of new customers, we needed a brand identity that’s unique, engaging and bold.
After researching competitors’ branding, we saw a lot of similarities between them, spurring us to create something vastly different. With personality on our side, the rebrand was born.
We created a logo that perfectly encompasses who NuVideo are. By replacing the ‘o’ with a smiley face, we wanted to highlight their friendliness and reliability, whilst also creating something engaging and eye catching. The smiley face doubles as an on/off switch to bring the brand back to its technological roots.
Just as NuVideo push the boundaries of technology and innovation, we decided to push their branding and use a bright purple and lime green colour scheme. We wanted to inject more of their infectious personality into their imagery and communications. This brand is predominantly seen online where these colours thrive. We chose shades of purple and green that are bright and optimistic, further driving the brand away from their competitors.
Using this new colour scheme and logo, we rebuilt their website – incorporating the NuVideo smiley face throughout. The colours and animated assets create an immersive experience when navigating the webpage.
The content of the website was carefully curated, written in accordance with the new tone of voice we created for them. Using the information gathered in the brand workshop, we worked on creating a communications guide that reflects their values and promotes cohesiveness and consistency across all channels. Resourceful, precise, and collaborative – these are the key pillars of NuVideo’s tone of voice.
With a fresh brand and website, NuVideo are prepared for new customers – providing the same high-quality service they have been for the past 20 years.
